Do all five steps. Steps 1–3 let you play IronMario. Steps 4–5 are what actually get your stars onto this site. Skip them and your runs won’t be recorded.

1

Get Parallel Launcher

Parallel Launcher is the emulator used to play SM64 romhacks. Download and install it for your platform.

Download Parallel Launcher
2

Get the IronMario 64 Hack

Download the IronMario 64 romhack from RomHacking.com. You'll need a clean SM64 US ROM to apply the patch.

Get IronMario 64
You'll need a clean Super Mario 64 (US) ROM. The patch will be applied automatically when you load it in Parallel Launcher.
3

Get the IronMario Tracker

The tracker runs alongside the emulator and displays your star collection, warp map, and level info in an overlay. It also writes out your run data.

Download Tracker
Extract the tracker files and run the included LuaEmuPlayer.exe to start the tracker. It will automatically connect to the emulator and begin recording your runs.
4

Log in to IronMario VS with Twitch

Your runs are matched to your Twitch account. If you’ve never signed in here, there’s nowhere to put your stars and your uploads will be rejected, so do this before your first run.

5

Get the IronMario VS Monitor

This is the piece that uploads your runs. The tracker only writes your progress to a file on your own PC. The Monitor watches that file and sends each star to this site. Without it, nothing you play shows up here.

Download link coming soon. Ask in the Discord for the current build.
Run it, click Connect Twitch and approve, then point it at your tracker folder. Leave it running in the background while you play. It will show “Live: Seed …” each time you collect a star.
If it ever says “Login expired”, just click Connect Twitch again. If it says a seed is not in your competition, you’re on the wrong seed. Check your next seed on My Page.

Joining a Competition

You have to be invited

There’s no open sign-up. The person running the competition invites you by your Twitch username, so make sure they have it spelled right and that you’ve completed step 4.

Invites are not emailed. Your invite shows up on My Page under “Pending Invites”, and you have to go there and accept it. Until you do, your runs won’t count toward the competition.
You can only be in one active competition at a time. Once you’ve accepted, My Page shows your seed list and which seed to play next. Play them in order.

Running Your Own Competition

Create it, invite streamers, activate

Create a competition, add your teams, invite streamers by Twitch username, and hit Activate when everyone has accepted. Seeds are generated the moment you create it, and are visible only to the people competing.

Activating requires a Twitch sub to WaffleSmacker, which covers the server costs. Your tier sets the roster cap: Tier 1 → 6 streamers · Tier 2 → 12 · Tier 3 → 30.
